The nobility live in luxury, while the skaa, the lower class, are oppressed and enslaved.
Our protagonist, Vin, is a skaa street urchin who has learned to survive by being wary and keeping her Allomantic abilities, the power to burn metals to gain superhuman abilities, a secret. Her life changes when she meets Kelsier, a charismatic and daring Mistborn, a person who can use all the Allomantic metals. Kelsier recruits Vin into his crew, planning to overthrow the Lord Ruler and free the skaa from their oppression.
The Heist and the Rebellion
Kelsier's plan is audacious: to rob the Lord Ruler of his wealth and at the same time, undermine his authority. The crew, each with their own Allomantic abilities, work together to pull off the heist of the millennium. As Vin learns to trust and rely on her newfound friends, she also discovers her own strength and power as a Mistborn.
As the heist progresses, the crew's actions spark a rebellion among the skaa, who have long believed the Lord Ruler to be an invincible god. Kelsier becomes a symbol of hope and resistance, and the crew's daring exploits inspire the skaa to rise up against their oppressors.
