The New Beginning

However, Wanderer's departure is short-lived. She soon realizes that she cannot abandon the humans, especially Ian, who has developed feelings for her. Wanderer returns to the human community, determined to fight alongside them. She also discovers that Melanie's consciousness has survived within her, living on in her memories and emotions.

In the end, Wanderer, now known as Wanda, becomes an integral part of the human resistance. She helps the humans find a way to coexist with the souls peacefully, rather than resorting to violence.
