Flagg's plan succeeds, and Thomas ascends the throne, with Flagg as his advisor, effectively ruling Delain from the shadows.

Meanwhile, Peter, imprisoned in the tower, befriends a fellow inmate named Dennis. Together, they hatch a plan to escape and prove Peter's innocence.
