Ping is disappointed and worried about facing the Emperor with an empty pot. He tries everything to make the seed grow, but nothing works. As the year comes to an end, Ping's pot remains empty.

When the time comes for the children to present their flowers to the Emperor, Ping is filled with anxiety. He knows that his pot is empty, and he fears the Emperor's disappointment.
