One study by Dr. Lisa Berkman of the Harvard School of Health Sciences observed a group of 7,000 people over nine years. Her results showed that those who lacked quality social or community connections were three times more likely to die of a medical illness than those who had strong social ties.
But a longer lifespan isn’t the only benefit of continuously making new friends. It’s also essential for success.
