A Fond Farewell to the Blinkist Minute

The Minute has been a beloved part of the Blinkist universe since the end of 2016. For those who aren’t familiar with the format, the Blinkist Minute is a short exploration of a single key idea from a nonfiction book that gets emailed to Premium subscribers every weekday and has been available in the app since October 2017.

Over the last three years, we created over 850 Minutes in English and more than 550 in German. We love the content, we love creating it, we love sharing ideas and most of all, we love the dedicated pool of readers and listeners who used the Minute as a way to explore the Blinkist library.

However, as Blinkist grows and evolves, we’ve realized that we need new ways to show off the depth and breadth of the titles available in the app. So the time has come to bid farewell to the Minute. By the end of the year, we’ll no longer send the Minute via email, and it will disappear from the app. Other than that, everything stays the same: your favorite Blinks aren’t going anywhere!

Originally, we created the Minute to help our users discover more great Blinks. We believe we can do an even better job of this, and that’s why we’re hard at work developing new ways for you to find the most interesting content in our app.
