Thrawn, with his remarkable strategic skills, manages to keep the group alive, while C'baoth's mental state deteriorates further, leading to a dangerous situation for everyone.

Thrawn's Ascendancy and Anakin's Awakening

As they struggle for survival, Thrawn's leadership and strategic brilliance become more evident. He earns the respect of the Jedi survivors, even as he maintains an air of mystery and distance. Meanwhile, Anakin, forced to take on more responsibilities due to his Master's injuries, starts to develop his own leadership skills. Thrawn, recognizing the potential in Anakin, offers him a chance to join the Chiss, an offer Anakin seriously considers. However, before he can make a decision, the group is discovered by a Chiss patrol. Thrawn manages to negotiate a peaceful resolution, saving the survivors and securing their passage back to the Republic. However, the survivors' return is bittersweet, as they are met with suspicion and fear due to the presence of the enigmatic Chiss among them.

In the end, the survivors are allowed to return to the Republic, but their experiences in the Unknown Regions have changed them irreversibly. Thrawn, now a high-ranking officer in the Chiss Ascendancy, leaves with a newfound respect for the Republic and a desire to find a way to coexist peacefully. Anakin, too, returns with a newfound understanding of the complexities of the galaxy and the limitations of the Jedi teachings.
