What one thing can make you a better lover, boost your creative ideas, transform the worlds of people in chronic pain, and improve your overall health? Mindfulness! Mindfulness happens when we concentrate wholly on the present moment. Instead of letting ourselves be distracted with worries about the past and the future, we focus just on how we feel in the here and now.

More and more people are practicing mindfulness each day. According to one study by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the number of American adults using mindfulness practices such as meditation rose from 8 percent in 2002 to 9.9 percent in 2012. Today, those figures continue to grow. To celebrate the mightiness of mindfulness, Blinkist has created a brand new category, Mindfulness and Happiness, which we’re introducing with #MindfulMarch.

To show just how powerful mindfulness can be, we created an infographic to show its benefits across the whole body, from the brain to the stomach.
