How to Cancel Audible Memberships

What do I need to cancel my Audible membership?

The good news is, canceling your Audible membership is a simple process. You’ll just need your Audible login information (email and password associated with your account).

And here’s how to handle it, depending on whether you subscribed through the Audible website or your phone’s app store:

How to cancel your Audible membership on Desktop:

  1. Head to the Audible website and log in using your Audible login.
  2. Once logged in, hover over your username in the top navigation bar and select “Account details”.
  3. On the Account details page, look for the “Cancel Membership” link and click on it.
  4. Audible might ask you to confirm your decision. Click “Continue to cancel” to finalize the process.

How to cancel your Audible membership on phone (if subscribed through Audible website):

Unfortunately, you can’t directly cancel your Audible membership through the Audible app if you subscribed via the website. However, you can still achieve this using a mobile web browser.

  1. Open your phone’s web browser and navigate to the Audible website.
  2. Log in using your Audible login information.
  3. Follow steps 2-4 from the “How to cancel your Audible membership on Desktop” section above.

How to cancel your Audible membership on phone through the App Store:

If you subscribed to Audible through the App Store, you’ll need to manage your subscription through your phone’s Settings app. The specific steps might vary slightly depending on your device, but here’s a general guide:

  1. Open your phone’s Settings app.
  2. Tap on your Apple ID (or iTunes & App Store, depending on your iOS version).
  3. Select “Subscriptions”.
  4. Find your Audible subscription and tap on it.
  5. Select “Cancel Subscription” to confirm cancellation.

Remember: After canceling your Audible membership, you’ll still have access to any audiobooks you’ve already purchased (with credits or cash).
