The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9–5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich by Tim Ferriss

The 4-Hour Workweek (2007) advocates the idea of the New Rich. These are the people who abandon their jobs as modern desk slaves and instead live a life that is all about enjoying the moment while still achieving big goals.

  • Anyone who wants to join the New Rich: those who live a splendid life without working more than a few hours per week
  • Anyone questioning the notion of a nine-to-five office job

Tim Ferriss is an American entrepreneur and writer. After founding a company in 2001, he worked so hard that a burnout forced him to take a break. He then took off to travel the world and was surprised to find he could run a profitable business from anywhere in the world – and with only a few hours of work per week. He wrote The 4-Hour Workweek based on this experience.
